The Peoples Democratic Party Rivers State has lashed out at the former Chief of Staff to the immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Emeka Woke, advising him to honourably resign his appointment as a Commissioner in the administration he referred to as clueless. Emaka Woke had over the weekend at a Forum in Emohua criticized the Simplified Movement for organizing a Thanksgiving rally for the Supreme Court Victory of Governor Siminialayi Fubara saying that it is a manifestation of a Clueless administration. Reacting to the statement, PDP Spokesperson in Rivers State, Sydney Tambari Gbara said through his utterances, Emeka Woke has shown that he is no longer comfortable in the cabinet of the present administration, yet has refused to resign his appointment.   NLNG 2024 SCHOLARSHIP OFFER FOR BASIC SIX PUPILS  There is now a call on all qualified pupils to apply for the 2024 edition of the scholarship, sponsored by the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG). In a publication, NLNG invites applications from interested and qualified Basic Six public primary school pupils, for its 2024 post primary scholarship award that has opened.  The scheme seeks to support high-performing Basic Six pupils through secondary school  education. To be eligible, such applicant must be in Basic Six and schooling in a public primary school in Rivers State. Such applicant must also not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship award, bursary, or grant from any other organisation. The prospective applicant must also not be more than 12 years of age, must not be a spouse, child, ward, or direct relation of staff of Nigeria LNG Limited.   IRAN LAUNCHES DOZENS, MISSILES AT ISRAEL. Israel saw over 200 drones and missiles fired across a number of towns within its country on Saturday evening. The raids were launched by Iranian authority and they were considered as a retaliatory attack. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Daniel Hagari who claimed so, also said that the vast majority of those drones and missiles were intercepted. He however, stated that an unknown number of those missiles fell in Israeli territory, wounding at least one child.   FAKE ALCOHOL PRODUCTION FACILITY BURSTED AS POLICE ARREST TWO PERSONS A couple, identified as Mr Austine and Mrs Magret Idemudia are now in police custody. They were arrested for their illegal activity of production of fake alcoholic drinks in Onikan Lagos. Their business had operated in a building on Muibi Olawunmi, in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State. Zone 2 Police Command uncovered the building where the identified and arrested couple produced adulterated wine and other alcoholic drinks. Under interrogation, the couple confessed that they engaged in the manufacturing of such drinks that have been in circulation. Their catchment business areas was in the southwest region of the country and they had been doing so for the past six years.
