RESOLUTION OF PDP GOVERNORS MEETING AHEAD OF NEC ON 18TH APRIL 2024 


Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today, Wednesday met at the Akwa Ibom State Lodge in Abuja, Federal Capital of Nigeria.





The meeting was chaired by the chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State, who briefed newsmen thereafter.

Governor Bala Mohammed said the forum rose wit the following resolutions:

1) Urged the National Working Committee (NWC) to set in motion machinery towards the conduct of credible congresses in States where tenures of executives have expired.

2) That there are no factions within the PDP because everybody is working in unity with all the organs of the party. 

3)That the Rivers State governor will work assiduously to unite all stakeholders in the State chapter of the party.

 Rivers CP removes DPO, apologises over assault on journalists The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Adewale Adepoju, says the Divisional Police Officers in charge of the Abali Park jurisdiction where journalists were assaulted by officers of the command while covering the #TakeItBackProtest in Port Harcourt has been removed from office. Adepoju disclosed this to members of the state chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, during a courtesy visit to the union on Friday, where he tendered an unreserved apology to the union and the journalists who were assaulted by some police officers on Monday, April 7, 2025.
