RISING 12 YEARS OLD CHESS GAME STAR, DEBORAH SET TO MEET WORLD RECORD HOLDER, ONAKOYA



The Chess Game Community in Nigeria is set to witness an extraordinary chess event.


It will be a contest between the Bayelsa Born 12 years Chess Prodigy, Deborah Quickpen and Chess Master and Guinness World Record holder, Tunde Onakoya.


Deborah Quickpen is a rising star in African and world chess.


Tunde Onakoya is a seasoned Guinness World Record holder and founder of Chess In Slums Africa (CISA)

 

The duo will lock horns in a Chess Game Play that will hold in Lagos State on Tuesday, 11th June, 2024.


Already, Deborah Quickpen had made waves with her exceptional talent and achievements at such a young age. 


She is currently ranked no 1 in Nigeria and No 4 in Africa across all female age groups. 


Deborah Quickpen is the current Nigeria National Women's Chess Champion.


She is the youngest person to hold that title in Nigerian chess history and she is from Bayelsa State.
