My name is Annkio Briggs, l am an Ijaw daughter, of Nyemoni, from Akulga Local Government, Kalabari Kingdom, Abonnema Clan, Eastern Zone of Ijaw Ijaw Nation. 


It is a shame to say that some Ijaw sons & daughters ARE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL TO someone who said in a church that "Thunder Should Fire Ijaw Nation" a people spreading across the total Niger Delta Region. Ijaw Nation are Eternally grateful to the almighty living GOD who created us and gave us the creeks, swamps and mangroves as our indigenous geographic location.


It is ashame, some Ijaw sons and daughters are prepared to embarrass, disgrace, sell and betray Ijaw people today, tomorrow and for the future for their political, economic and power greed in Rivers state and the rest of Ijaw Nation for one man. 


Any Ijaw man and woman who have betrayed Gov. Fubara and Rivers State Ijaws 'will be remembered and go down in the history of Ijaw Nation forever.'


Ijaw people know their true friends and true kit and kin. 


Finally as an Ijaw daughter and with the permission of Ijaw Nation we are grateful to all Indegenes Nationalities of Rivers State that have stood with the authentic Governor of Rivers State, Gov. Sim Fubara. 


We maintain Ijaws and Ikwerres have no political crisis. For centuries we have intermarried and continue to intermarry. We have blood ties, We will and should not allow a few people destroy our history. 


We thank the voices of Ijaw Nation, Ijaw Natilnal Congress (INC)  under the Leadership of Professor  Okagba and the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) under the Leadership of Jonathan Lokpobiri. 


We remain respectfully and proudly grateful to our Ijaw father and leader Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark for always standing to defend our people, nation and rights.

 Rivers CP removes DPO, apologises over assault on journalists The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Adewale Adepoju, says the Divisional Police Officers in charge of the Abali Park jurisdiction where journalists were assaulted by officers of the command while covering the #TakeItBackProtest in Port Harcourt has been removed from office.
